No email required · Just a username and password
Get Started with Your Subscription and Client
Set up your account and plan first, then add your subscription to a client. Follow the steps below and verify the connection by checking that websites or apps load—not just that the connection switch is on.
Screens and labels vary across operating systems, clients, and versions. This guide uses common labels such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import from link.” If your screen uses different wording, follow the client instructions in the user dashboard and the prompts in your current app. Skip any steps you’ve already completed.
Create an Account and Sign In
Open the account creation page in the VPNYP user dashboard and enter the username and password you want to use. VPNYP doesn’t require an email address; you can create an account with just a username and password. Choose a username you’ll recognize, and use a unique password saved in a trusted password manager. Before submitting, check your entries carefully, especially for input method, capitalization, and spaces added when pasting.
Once you’re done, follow the on-screen instructions to open the dashboard. If you’re taken to the sign-in page, use the username and password you just saved; there’s no need to create another account. When you see your account overview, confirm you’re signed in to the right account before choosing a plan. Use this same account to get your subscription, view orders, and submit support tickets. Otherwise, you may sign in to a different account after paying and not see your plan.
At this stage, you’re setting up the account used to manage your subscription—not connecting a device to the network. The user dashboard in your browser is for managing plans and subscriptions; the client on your device connects to a route. Keep the dashboard open, as you’ll need the Plans and Overview sections next. You don’t need to look for an installer yet, and don’t paste your account password into a client’s subscription field.
Choose a Plan and Complete Payment
In the Plans section of the dashboard, check the billing type first, then choose a data allowance that fits your usage. Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the day your plan starts. If you regularly use international websites, work online, or stream video, use your typical data consumption as a guide—you don’t have to pick the largest plan just to get connected.
If your usage is less regular, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Packages last until the data is used and never expire. The main difference between monthly plans and data packages is how long the data is available, not the number of devices; simultaneous connections are unlimited on both. See the Plans page for full pricing and details, then return to the dashboard when you’re ready to choose.
Once you’ve chosen a plan, follow the prompts to create an order. Check the plan name, amount due, and billing terms, then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After the payment page shows the result, return to the dashboard to check your order and plan status. If the status hasn’t updated, refresh the page and check the order record before taking further action. Don’t pay again just because the change isn’t visible yet. If you’re unsure, share your order details through the dashboard’s support ticket section.
VPNYP offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. If you upgrade a monthly plan before it ends, the price difference is converted into remaining days; this doesn’t mean all your data is reissued. For now, just confirm that your plan is active. See the Support page for more on billing and refunds. Once you’ve confirmed there’s an active plan on your account, continue to your subscription and client.
Get Your Subscription from the Account Overview
Return to the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription section. Copy the subscription link by following the prompts on screen. This link lets a client load your route configuration; it isn’t the website homepage or the dashboard URL in your browser’s address bar. The client uses the link to generate a list of regions and routes, so you don’t need to enter server details one by one.
After copying the link, leave it on your clipboard so you can paste it into the client’s import field. If you temporarily paste it somewhere to check it, make sure there are no extra spaces, line breaks, or other text at either end. Don’t share the link in public chats, screenshots, or articles—it’s part of your account information. If you think it has been exposed, look for a subscription reset option in the dashboard. If you can’t find one, ask through a support ticket how to proceed, then update the subscription on your devices.
Next, open the client downloads section in the dashboard and choose a client for your operating system. You need to be signed in to get the client and subscription, and client downloads are available with an active plan. If the dashboard offers a one-click import option, first make sure the corresponding client is installed, then follow the prompts. If your browser can’t open the app, copy the subscription link and import it manually instead of clicking repeatedly.
If the route list doesn’t include the region you expect, update the subscription in the client first, then check that the correct configuration is enabled. Updating a subscription reloads route details; it doesn’t change or pay for your plan. If there’s no available subscription on the overview page, check your order and plan status. Don’t look for a generic subscription from another source to replace your account link.
Import Your Subscription on Each Platform
Choose a client that supports the subscription format provided in the dashboard; similar app names don’t guarantee compatibility. Windows, macOS, and Android clients typically support remote subscription management. For iOS, use a VPN client recommended in the dashboard instructions. The sections below explain where to find the import options. For the exact client name and installation steps, check the downloads section after signing in.
Windows: Add a Remote Subscription
Choose the Windows client from the dashboard, install it, and open the main window. Look for “Configuration,” “Subscription,” or a similar section, then select “Add” or “Import from link.” Paste the full subscription link. If a name is required, use a label that helps you recognize the configuration; it’s just a local label, not a place to enter your account password.
Save the link, then download or update the configuration and wait for the route list to appear. If the client supports multiple configurations, set the one for VPNYP as the active configuration, then open the proxy or routes page. First check that the region list is visible; you’ll enable the system proxy and connect in the next step. If the window doesn’t appear after installation, check the system tray for the client icon before opening another instance.
macOS: Import and Check the Active Configuration
Check the macOS client instructions in the dashboard downloads section, choose a version compatible with your device, and install it. The first time you open it, macOS may ask you to approve the app or grant network-related permissions. Check the app’s source and purpose, then follow the system prompts. In the client’s configuration manager, choose Add remote configuration or Import from URL, paste the subscription link, and save.
After the update completes, select the configuration you just imported and check that the route list has loaded. Some clients put the connection switch in the menu bar rather than the main window; if you can’t find it after importing, check the menu bar. After switching networks, make sure the client is still using this configuration so you don’t mistake a connection from an older local configuration for one using the new subscription.
Android: Load Routes from a Subscription Link
Get the Android client by following the instructions in the dashboard downloads section, install it, and open its configuration or subscription manager. Choose an option such as Add remote subscription or Import from URL, paste the full link, and save it. Then update the subscription. If prompted to choose a configuration type, use the format specified for that client in the dashboard instructions. Don’t paste the link into a field for a single server address.
Once the routes appear in the list, select the configuration and get ready to connect. The first time you connect, Android may ask you to authorize the VPN connection. Check that it’s the correct app, then allow the connection. If another VPN app is already connected, disconnect it before using this client so it doesn’t take over the system connection. Then follow the verification steps below to check access in your browser and target app.
iOS: Add a Subscription Using the Dashboard Instructions
First, check the current iOS instructions in the dashboard downloads section. Follow the App Store link there to get a compatible client, then return to the subscription section and copy your link. In the client, find Add subscription, Import from URL, or Remote configuration, then paste and save the link. If you use the dashboard’s one-click import option, your device may ask whether to open the app. Confirm that it’s the right app before proceeding.
After importing, update the configuration and check that the region and route list is complete, then choose a route. The first time you connect, iOS may ask to add a VPN configuration and confirm permission using your device’s authentication method. This grants the system permission to connect; it does not require giving your VPNYP account password to the system. Once authorized, return to the client to check its status and verify access.
VPNYP also supports Linux. Linux users can find the compatible client and import instructions in the dashboard. Installation varies by distribution, so don’t copy installation steps for other platforms. On the platforms above, if you see a format error when importing, first check that the link is complete, your plan is active, and the client supports the subscription format. For more detailed connection troubleshooting, visit the Support page; there’s no need to change complex low-level settings here.
Connect to a Route and Verify It Works
Return to the client’s main screen, confirm that the VPNYP configuration you just imported is active, and choose a route in your target region. For everyday browsing, start with a route that suits your current network. If a service is region-specific, first check which region you need, then choose the corresponding exit location. IEPL, transit, and direct are route types; none guarantees the same performance on every network.
Turn on the connection switch. On desktop, enable the system proxy as instructed by the client; on mobile, confirm that the system allows the VPN connection. Some desktop clients offer both system proxy and virtual network adapter modes. If this is your first time using the client, start with the mode recommended in the dashboard instructions rather than enabling every option. If the client offers rule modes, begin with the default configuration. If you’re unsure how a mode will affect your setup, keep the current settings and check access first.
Next, open your browser and visit an international website you normally use. Check that the page loads, then try a routine task in the app you want to use. A “Connected” status only means the client has reached that connection state; it doesn’t confirm that every app is using the route. If the site works in your browser but an app doesn’t, fully close and reopen the app, then check whether it follows the current proxy settings.
For streaming, check the available catalog by region and whether playback works. The exit region, account region, content licensing, and platform safeguards can all affect the result, so a route name alone can’t guarantee that a particular title will be available. For an overview of region selection, account settings, and playback errors, see the Streaming Guides. Read more if you need to; there’s no need to learn everything before your first connection.
If you still can’t access a site or app, first make sure your device has a working internet connection. Then check that the subscription is up to date, the right configuration is selected, connection permission is granted, and no other proxy tools are running. You can then compare with another route in the same region; avoid changing several settings at once. If the issue persists, use a user dashboard support ticket to share your operating system, client, selected region, and error message. Hide your subscription link and sensitive account details in any screenshots to help with troubleshooting.
To use VPNYP on another device, get the subscription through the same account and import it for that platform. There’s no limit on simultaneous devices, but each one needs its own configuration and connection authorization. Keep the dashboard handy: update your subscription when routes change, and check the account overview if you have questions about your plan. This makes it easier to distinguish connection issues from account issues.
